Although I am enjoying the Deep Dive Python, I thought I should take a step back and look at a 100DaysOfCode course. Because it is getting the ideas on what to code I am not good at. Give me code that has a problem or is just hard to read and I can make that better.
The course I found.
Udemy 100 Days of Code - The Complete Python Pro Bootcamp for 2021
by Angela Yu.
Yes, it's on youtube for free as well but I prefer to use a site like Udemy and pay for it rather than get interrupted by adverts.
There is a quiz at the beginning to gauge my level of skill with Python. The better the score, the further through the course gets recommended. Before I even took the course, I decided that I would follow the course from the very start. Seems pointless otherwise, I am here to make sure I haven't missed something, get ideas, and anyway it will be a bit of fun to write out some code for something that comes easily.
Mental boost to the Coding Ego....
Quiz done! and here is the review.
It's a multiple choice of 10 questions in python, getting a little harder the further you get through them.
Great job! You are ready to move on to the next lecture.
You got 9 out of 10 correct on the first attempt.
The question I got wrong on the first attempt:
A variable of a specific value and an if/elif/else statement. Where each if/else statement asked if the value was > or < of two values.
I misread the question and didn't realise that the <90 would be the trigger, thinking it meant between 80 and 90. My bad.
That score suggested to me to start around a third of the way through the course, but also stated that I would miss out on a couple of topics related to simple games.
Like I said, Day 1 here I come.
Note:
I won't skip a day but I may just cover more than one day in a day
